Altera

Altera symbolizes change and transition, in a gentle way, full of quietness and respect.

Altera is a porcelain piece with a distinctive, subtly sculpted surface that beautifully reflects light and gives the form depth. A golden detail gently accentuates its character, adding warmth and elegance. The whole creates a calm, harmonious presence.

A surface shaped by hand

Altera carries a subtly sculpted lattice across the whole height of the body. The relief is shallow and even, so light rests on it softly and gives the form depth without breaking its calm.

The relief is pressed into the porcelain before firing, by hand, so every piece carries its own small differences.

Harmony of form

The lid fits precisely onto a porcelain ring hidden inside the body. It closes securely and remains an integral part of Altera's harmonious silhouette.

One band of gold, laid on by hand

On porcelain the gold goes on the outside. A single band of 24-karat gold is laid on the shoulder by hand and fired, so it becomes part of the glaze rather than a layer on top of it.

It is the brightest line on the piece, and the only one. It marks the place where the lid meets the body: a boundary that does not divide, but joins what is visible with what remains beyond form.

Gold or platinum. Both are laid on the same way.

The other models

Three models share one silhouette and one band of gold. What sets them apart is the surface: sculpted, raised or smooth.
